One Man's Life:
a poetic review

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- September 21, 1995

(Chicago, Illinois) -- The book One Man's Life: A Poetic Review is said to be a courageous, sensitive and easy to read living anthology of masculine but very sensitive poetry.

The book took over 31 years to complete and covers life's experiences in short but entertaining clips of poetic form that is contemporary and very easy to read and understand. The author John W. McGuire Sr. has gathered considerable and very positive press because the book, the musical reading score on CD/cassette tape and the poster program is dedicated to the American Family. "It is reality poetry and honest to the core while very easy to read", McGuire states.

The author, who himself has been married and divorced feels that our society has become cold, apathetic and inconsiderate to the needs of people in the area of romance, respect and sensitivity. At times, our American society has waged an all out attack on the American male, the family and itself. Mr. McGuire who is a successful advertising executive, divorced father of three children, outdoorsman and now author was encouraged by numerous people to communicate his life's works. Few men have the courage to communicate their sensitive sides and viewpoints that tackle difficult issues such as love, family, loyalty, abortion and childrearing. Of course, the book also covers a multiplicity of simple and fun topics such as riding Harleys, skydiving, the gym, horses and other social topics.

Because the American Family is the nation's greatest natural resource, the book is not only timely but consistent with the thought of opening up everyone's life so that others can take stock and relate to the importance of how their life's efforts can effect a positive change in the world at large. "It all begins with your life", according to the author.

The book is only released for three weeks and will be available shortly in most book stores. Although the book is a short 80 pages of wit and wisdom, it is packed with practical readable real life experiences. The author purposely kept it short and sweet because at times the longer messages become the harder they are to understand. It is biographical poetry in form but classified as inspirational reading or Psychology in most book stores.

This little book may help people realize that we all experience similar things and to remain positive.
